Public Notice for Discretionary Use

Public notice is hereby given that pursuant to section 55 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007,  and supplemented by the municipal Zoning Bylaw, that the Resort Village of Turtle View (RV) has received an application for parcel tie removals that the RV may potentially be considering as a lakeside development discretionary use under its Zoning Bylaw. Interpretation of specific land use and the Zoning Bylaw would be required by Council, and final determination on land use and the provisions of the Zoning Bylaw is yet to be interpreted by Council.

The application is to sever the parcel ties between three portions of SW 21-53-18-3, being Extensions. 14, 21, and 23, such that they would be considered individual sites; they are currently linked together under consolidated titles in the Land Titles System. Subdivision is required to sever the parcel ties. The parcels that are currently tied, are the two large parcels of undeveloped land east of the built-up cottage area, and the parcel that contains the waterway access to the inland boat storage and mooring area within this quarter section. It is the use of this waterway access parcel that may potentially be a discretionary matter, but final determination on land use and the provisions of the Zoning Bylaw is yet to be interpreted by Council. At this time, no new development of any of the subject parcels has been proposed or a development permit application made; Council will be assessing this as a matter of parcel tie removal only. See map below showing the subject parcels stated above.

Council will consider this application at the regular scheduled Council meeting on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 at 7:00pm in the RV Turtle View office.  If you wish to comment or make representation on this proposal, please do so in writing or email prior to Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, to the Resort Village of Turtle View at PO Box 370 , 116 Golden Sands Drive , Turtle View, SK  S0M 1J0. For additional information please contact the office at (306) 845-1440 or at [email protected].
